Hello Constable McCoy,

After some discussion with our neighbours, there were issues noted in last year's meeting with Councillor Deans as well as the CPTED audit report that have not been addressed or rectified.

  1. While a stop sign has been installed at Dunston & Solera, there is no posted speed limit within the development. Appropriate signage was mentioned by Councillor Deans and also in item # 5 of the CPTED audit;
  2. Children/youth are continuing to race down Dunston in all forms of vehicles - even grocery carts. Item #5 of the CPTED audit discussed safety issues and this is an outstanding item;
  3. Signage for the walkway was also mentioned in the CPTED audit item #5 and has not been addressed. Also, there was some consideration from the city about a series of obstacles/barriers to reduce the occurrence of racing children down the pathway;
  4. The builder has not properly cleared and placed grass along the 3-5 metre strip along pathway from Solera Circle to the Greenboro pathway per the CPTED audit item #1;
  5. Corners of walkway to Greenboro pathway have become overgrown again and sight lines are diminished - particularly the east corner. It appears that the City's landscape contractor ignores the Solera pathway completely.
I trust these points answer your questions and we look forward to your support in resolving them.

Regards,
Dave Moryas

Hello,

I am looking into our parks in the South Keys, Greenboro and Hunt Club area and wondering if there are any issues out there that I may not be aware of.

I would certainly appreciate it if you could talk to your neighbours and find out if they have any concerns when it comes to the parks.

Please send me an email if you hear anything and encourage others to email me as well.

Further, if anyone is interested in meeting up with me to take me on a tour of their neighbourhood I would be more than happy to do so.

Thanks,

Gary
